Lokelani is a Hawaiian musician and hula dancer. One day she just came floating into Rokoff Studio singing with a haku lei (a Hawaiian flower crown). Alexander was immediately inspired to paint her, and not long after he got his chance. Lokelani was invited to ride on a float at the King Kamehameha parade, after which she came to the gallery with a friend and professional slack key guitar player. She sat for Alexander to paint her with her friend playing music that added a festive and truly special feeling to the event.

A solid wood mahogany frame adds a polished esthedic to the original oil paitning. A timeless beauty of the human form while encapsulating a feeling of the Hawaiian Island.

  • We were thrilled with the quality of the oil painting we discovered at the Rokoff Studio in Kona, Hawaii. Alexander's painting draws you into the beauty an island sunset. We enjoyed meeting both Alexander and Camille. They shipped our painting to our home. It came very well protected and now hangs in our family room! It is an amazing addition to our home. Mahalo!
