Ancient Banyan is a celebration of the giant, unforgettable Banyan tree on Ali'i Dr. in downtown Kona. The towering canopy moves gracefully high above it's sturdy trunk that has been standing for over 175 years. The painting is a representation of the tree in its infancy, before the development of the buildings and the winding sea wall. The tree stands alone on the sea letting the image time travel back to the days of old Hawai'i.
